Request Account Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Nwoma account and the data associated with it.

1. How to request deletion

Send an email to our support team requesting account deletion.

If you cannot reach us on that address, you can also use: infonwoma@gmail.com

Suggested subject: Nwoma Account Deletion Request

Include:

  • The email address (or phone number) used to sign in
  • Your display name (if set)
  • Any relevant details to help us locate your account (optional)

2. What data will be deleted

When your account deletion request is completed, we will delete or anonymize the following data associated with your account:

  • Your authentication account (sign-in identity)
  • Your profile information (name, email/phone, profile photo, preferences)
  • Your library/reading activity stored in our backend (e.g., reading progress sync)
  • Your user-generated content where feasible (e.g., comments, reviews, posts) or it may be anonymized to protect community integrity
  • Your AI feature usage records and related saved items (where applicable)

3. Data that may be retained

Certain records may be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and audit purposes. This typically includes payment and transaction records.

  • Payment/transaction records (e.g., transaction ID, amount, timestamps)

Retention period: up to 7 years where required by law and for legitimate business purposes.

4. Timeline

We aim to process account deletion requests within 30 days. In some cases, we may need additional time to verify ownership or comply with legal obligations.
